Quick-reaction Perimeter Intrusion Detection

The rapidly deployable QUPID sensor system is a lowcost, man-portable, completely self-contained perimeter intrusion and tracking sensor system. Comprised of a portable, light weight and ridged-mount tripod and sensor head, QUPID remotely monitors an area “beyond the fence” to extend your perimeter awareness, providing defense and protection of deployed fixed or mobile high risk assets. Utilizing ultra wide S band microwave RADAR technology, a single QUPID sensor protects a user-selectable, variable coverage area of over 7,800m utilizing three zone range-gates to minimize nuisance alarms. Multiple QUPID sensors can be cascaded to form a complete circumferential perimeter network. Three user-selectable range-gate settings quickly tailor the sensor for optimal performance and detection of multiple threat scenarios including vehicles, slow moving, fast moving or low crawler intruders. Suitable for all weather/climate conditions, QUPID also monitors its performance and provides a high measure of tamper resistance. QUPID is the only low cost perimeter detection system of this type that detects low/belly crawlers out to 70m.

Low level microwave outputs are intrinsically and environmentally safe, well below FCC mandated typical exposure SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) guidelines. Typical applications include primary and supplemental perimeter fence monitoring and intrusion protection of fixed or mobile air- and ground-vehicle assets, law enforcement, nuclear reactor facilities, airports and remote water treatment facilities.
