Mobile Direct Georeferenced Sensor Platform

Ruggedized Embedded Electronics

DGX-M is a compact, lightweight integrated system for the Capture, Processing, Storage, and Dissemination of direct georeferenced sensor data. It is designed for unmanned systems and rugged, mobile applications.

Gigabit Ethernet Control and Data Interface

The DGX-M is an Ethernet appliance based on Gigabit Ethernet physical layer connection. The interface can support 10/100/1000 Base-T data rates, and will adapt automatically to the maximum available bandwidth.

DGX-M can be configured pre-mission, and will operate autonomously. However, the system can also respond to commands during a mission, and will provide status and sensor thumbnail information over the Comand-and-Control (C2) Interface. The DGX-M can also stream image data and metadata using TCP/IP or UDP protocol.

For platforms that do not have an internal network, the DGX-M has identical C2 and data functionality (at lower bandwidth) over its integrated COM port.

Plug-and-Play Imaging Sensor Support

DGX-M is plug-and-play compatible with all GSI TerraPix KCM camera modules. A base system can support two separate cameras and one INS system, while expansion units are available to add more cameras. In addition, the unit can support any Camera Link, Gigabit Ethernet or RS-170 Analog Video camera. GSI will work with you to define a Camera Interface Definition firmware plug-in for your specific imaging sensor.

Integrated Inertial Navigation System

DGX-M integrates timing, control, and data functions to provide position and orientation metadata for each imaging sensor. The system currently supports the following INS subsystems:

  • NovAtel SPAN
  • Leica IPAS10
  • SDI C-Migits and MMQ-G
  • Applanix POS AV

Other INS systems are being added on an ongoing basis.

Integrates to UAV Avionics

DGX-M interfaces to the popular Cloudcap Picollo II flight navigation system (uses the pass through port), and can receive and process Cloudcap navigation metadata.
